Game Systems

1. Castle Sieges

1.1. The castle siege times have been changed from occuring in two time brackets (Sunday 16-18, 20-22) to a single time bracket on Sunday 20-22.
1.2. Gates that have been damaged due to campaigns will be reset at the start of siege.
1.3. Jump routes have been added to areas surrounding Rune and Aden castles.
1.4. System of ‘Light and Darkness’ has been implemented.
  • Immediately after the update, all castles will be set to ‘Light’.
  • The Seal of Ruler skill has been removed, and is replaced by Seal of Light and Seal of Darkness skills.
  • Successful casting of Seal of Light puts the castle into a state of Light, and successful casting of Seal of Darkness puts the castle into a state of Darkness.
  • Before the end of the siege, there will be an opportunity to reselect the castle’s state between Light and Darkness through a spawned messenger NPC.
1.5. The characteristics of a Castle of Light are as follows:
  • Tax rates on items sold by NPC shops are set to 0%.
  • Tax rates on items bought by NPC shops cannot be set.
  • Can activate a quest to reset a Castle of Darkness.
  • Can receive these items from the Grand Chamberlain:
    • Brilliant Cape of Light: +3 to all stats, decreases damage received in PvP by 15%, able to use skill ‘Return to Castle’, +15 to all elements.
    • Cape of Light: +2 to all stats, decreases damage received in PvP by 10%, able to use skill ‘Return to Castle’, +10 to all elements.
  • Chaotic characters cannot equip the items Brilliant Cape of Light or Cape of Light.
  • The existing Residence skill(s) are removed and is replaced with Power of Light which increases CP by 3000 and PvP damage by 10%.
  • Chaotic characters do not receive the effects of Power of Light.
  • The skies surrounding the castle become clear.
  • A NPC will spawn in the castle’s town with the ability to cast a 3% XP buff.
1.6. The characteristics of a Castle of Darkness are as follows:
  • Tax rates on items sold by NPC shops are set to 30%.
  • Tax rates on items bought by NPC shops are set to 10%.
  • Can receive these items from the Grand Chamberlain:
    • Chilling Cape of Darness: +3 to all stats, decreases damage received in PvP by 15%, able to use skill ‘Return to Castle’, +15 to all elements.
    • Cape of Darkness: +2 to all stats, decreases damage received in PvP by 10%, able to use skill ‘Return to Castle’, +10 to all elements.
  • The existing Residence skill(s) are removed and is replaced with Power of Darkness which increases CP by 3000 and PvP damage by 10%.
  • The skies surrounding the castle become grey and gloomy.
  • Insurgence members spawn in the castle’s town.
  • Players level 40+ can purchase weapons from the Insurgence NPC. These weapons give players abilities that can only be used during sieges.
  • Killing a member of the clan that owns the Castle of Darkness increases PvP count. (This is regardless of the player’s PK count or Reputation.)

2. Taxes

2.1. The tax territory of two towns have been changed.
  • Talking Island Town: Gludio Territory
  • Floran Village: Dion Territory
2.2. Alco?‘s tax rate has been raised from 20% to 30%.
2.3. Tax income of castles are affected by the state of the central castle.
  • Gludio, Dion, Giran, Oren, Innadril castles can only gain tax income if the Aden castle is set to Darkness.
  • Goddard, Schuttgart castles can only gain tax income if the Rune castle is set to Darkness.
  • Tax income will appear every monday at midnight if the Central castle successfully defends itself and does not change ownership
2.4. Merchant of Mammon will now be affected by the tax rate of the castle town it appears in.

3. Clan

3.1. Items that help gain clan and individual reputation
    • Following reputation items help gain reputation for clan or individuals:
      • Clan Pet (Raccoon): Summons  trainable? clan pet Raccoon.
      • Clan Pet (White Cat): Summons trainableclan pet White Cat.
      • Clan Pet (Desert Fox): Summons trainable? clan pet Desert Fox.
      • Spiteful Devil Summoning Scroll: Summons Spiteful Devil.
  • Clan pets as well as the Spiteful Devil pet can only be used by members of a clan Level 5 and above.
  • Once a trainable? pet is summoned for 72 hours or more, the player can receive 100 clan reputation points as well as a ‘mysterious pouch’ that contains a bonus reward.
  • Trainable? pets can be traded.
  • Defeating the summoned Spiteful Devil within the time limit rewards the player 1,000 reputation points and the clan 30 reputation points. There’s also a chance of an ‘Elemental Crystal Piece’? drop.
